Huawei BTS and DBS base station equipment
A base station cabinet is rarely a straightforward purchase, because the cabinet is an enclosure and what makes it a working site is everything fitted inside it. Huawei's BTS3900 family covers indoor, outdoor and distributed configurations, with the earlier BTS3012 serving GSM sites and DBS3900 describing the distributed architecture where the radios sit at the antenna and only baseband remains in the cabinet. The items here include cabinets, the APM30 outdoor power enclosure, IBBS battery backup, and a number of GSM-era transceiver and RF units that populated the BTS3012.
How to read these part numbers
The `BTS` and `DBS` names describe the site architecture rather than a single orderable item, and the suffix letter carries the deployment type — BTS3900 indoor, BTS3900A outdoor, BTS3911E a compact outdoor variant. Separate part numbers exist for the cabinet, the power enclosure, the battery system and each internal board, which is why a "BTS3900" enquiry always needs breaking down. The `GM5M`, `GMSM` and `GMKM` prefixed codes on this page are GSM-era board and unit identifiers from the BTS3012 generation.

Tell us what you are trying to achieve rather than only the cabinet model, because a working site needs the enclosure, power system, battery backup, baseband, radios and the interconnect between them, and cabinets are commonly quoted bare. Confirm indoor or outdoor, the site power supply available, the technologies the site must carry, and whether radios will be cabinet-mounted or distributed to the antenna. For BTS3012-era GSM equipment, expect refurbished condition and treat availability as the binding constraint rather than price.
Lifecycle and availability
BTS3012 and its GSM-era boards are end-of-support and supplied as refurbished stock. BTS3900 and DBS3900 variants are end-of-sale in most configurations but circulate widely in the surplus market. APM30 power enclosures and IBBS battery systems remain relatively available. Export screening applies per transaction.
Equipment condition
New — factory-sealed, supplied through the manufacturer's own channel or a qualified distributor, with full manufacturer warranty.

Does a BTS3900 quotation include the radios and baseband?
Not unless we state it. Cabinets are usually quoted as enclosures. Tell us the full site configuration you need and we will quote a complete bill of materials so you are not left assembling it from separate sources.
Can you still supply GSM base station equipment?
Yes — refurbished BTS3012 hardware and its boards are available through our network, and GSM sites remaining in service are a real part of our enquiry volume. Availability rather than price is usually what determines whether an order proceeds.
What is the difference between BTS3900 and DBS3900?
Architecture. In a BTS3900 the radios sit in the cabinet and feed the antenna through feeder cable; in a DBS3900 the radios are at the antenna and connect back to the baseband over fibre. The choice affects feeder cost, power and site loading.
What is the APM30H for?
It is Huawei's outdoor power enclosure, housing rectifiers and distribution for a site with no indoor space. It is quoted separately from the base station cabinet and is often the item operators actually need.
