Newbridge E3 ATM UNI/NNI interface card

Newbridge Networks was a Canadian networking equipment vendor, based in Kanata, Ontario, and one of the major independent suppliers of ATM and frame relay wide-area switching and access hardware through the 1990s. Alcatel acquired Newbridge Networks in 2000, in a deal valued at roughly US$7.1 billion, folding its ATM and access product lines into Alcatel's data networking business; the Newbridge brand itself did not continue as a standalone line after integration. The single item on this page is genuine legacy Newbridge-branded ATM access hardware.

How to read these part numbers

The part number and description identify a 2-port E3 ATM interface card supporting both UNI (User-Network Interface, connecting to an ATM end-system) and NNI (Network-Network Interface, connecting between switches) modes on Newbridge's ATM switching platforms of that era.

Ordering notes

Give the exact part number. This is long-discontinued legacy hardware, supplied refurbished/used, condition confirmed per enquiry. Where a destination does not admit used network equipment please tell us before we quote. Hardware only, and given the age of this platform, ongoing vendor software support should not be assumed. Destination type approval and import permits (CST/SABER, TDRA, ICASA, CA, CMC, ARPCE) are the buyer's responsibility and we will say so on the quotation.

Lifecycle and availability

Newbridge Networks was acquired by Alcatel in 2000 and the Newbridge brand was discontinued as its product lines were absorbed into Alcatel (later Alcatel-Lucent, and from 2016 part of Nokia). This E3 ATM UNI/NNI card is long-discontinued legacy hardware; we supply it refurbished/used only, subject to availability.

Send us the part numbers you need and we will confirm warranty terms alongside availability, condition, lead time and price.
