ZTE outdoor cabinets — ZXDU68 W-series power cabinets, ZXDT22 and the BS8900 base-station cabinets
ZTE outdoor cabinets fall into two families that buyers often confuse: the ZXDU W-series outdoor DC power cabinets (W201 at 12 kW, W301 at 18 kW, W701 at 42 kW, ZXDU58 W121 at 120 A) and the newer ZXDUPA-WR12, which are power cabinets with rectifier slots and a battery compartment; and the ZXSDR BS8900A / BS8900B cabinet stacks, which house a ZTE baseband and radio units. The ZXDT22 SF01 integrated power energy system sits between them for sites with weak or no mains. This page lists each with the capacity, rectifier type and climate data ZTE's own descriptions state, and flags the models whose dimensions vary between hardware versions.
How to read these part numbers
ZXDU is ZTE's DC power family; the letter after the generation number gives the form factor: B is an embedded 19-inch shelf, S and T are indoor floor cabinets, W is the outdoor cabinet. A ZXDU68 B301 is therefore an 8U shelf and not an outdoor cabinet. The digits after W track capacity class — W201 is 12 kW with four ZXD3000 rectifiers, W301 18 kW with six, W701 42 kW with fourteen, ZXDU58 W121 is 120 A with four ZXD1500 modules. The version in brackets (V4.0, V5.0, V6.0) matters because rectifier modules are version-specific. ZXDUPA-WR12 is the current outdoor line with 4 kW ZXEPS rectifiers and DC air conditioners. ZXDT22 SF01 is the integrated power energy system, offered in five cabinet sizes from 900 to 2100 mm tall. ZXSDR is the base-station family: BS8900A and BS8900B are the outdoor macro cabinets, built as a BC baseband cabinet, RC radio cabinets and a PC battery cabinet stacked or side by side; BS8906 is the outdoor micro; BS8800 is IP20 and indoor, and BS8700 is a distributed BBU-plus-RRU product with no cabinet.

Ordering notes
Give the model with its version — ZXDU68 W201 V5.0 and V6.0 take different rectifiers — and the rectifier count, controller (CSU500B, CSU510B, CSU602A, CSU603A) and climate hardware required. Because W201 dimensions appear as 1930 × 650 × 650, 2000 × 600 × 600 and 2100 × 750 × 700 mm in different ZTE documents, a used cabinet is quoted against its nameplate and measured dimensions, not the model name alone. For BS8900A sites name each cabinet in the stack (BC8910A, RC8910A or RC8911A, PC8910A) and the RSU count. Condition is stated per quotation — new, new surplus or refurbished with the cosmetic grade — and where a destination does not admit used network equipment we quote new. No list price is published; quotations are per cabinet with the configuration itemised — housing, climate unit, rectifier frame, modules, monitoring, batteries, plinth — and are prepared landed to the destination city where requested, with packed dimensions and weight stated for the freight line.
Lifecycle and availability
ZXDU68 W701 V6.0 and ZXDUPA-WR12 are current ZTE outdoor power products with recent product descriptions. ZXDU68 W201 / W301 V5.0 and ZXDU58 W121 V4.0 are earlier generations still listed in ZTE's document index and supplied new surplus and refurbished. ZXSDR BS8900A / BS8900B / BS8906 cabinets date from the 2G/3G and early LTE era and are supplied refurbished for expansion or swap-out of existing sites. No end-of-sale notice was found for any model; status and hardware version are confirmed per quotation.
Specifying a ZXDU W-series cabinet
A W-series cabinet is quoted as the housing with its climate unit, the CSU controller, the rectifier modules fitted and the battery provision. W201 houses four ZXD3000 modules for 12 kW with an 800 W heat exchanger on the equipment cabin and a 200 W thermoelectric cooler on the battery cabin; W301 houses six for 18 kW; W701 houses fourteen for 42 kW with air-conditioner, heat-exchanger or DC-fan options and mains, generator and solar inputs. ZXDUPA-WR12 houses six 4 kW ZXEPS R4875F1 rectifiers for 24 kW with two 1600 W DC air conditioners in 1+1 and a 600 W heater, holding the equipment compartment at 10–25 °C. State the load in kW, the battery autonomy and the ambient range and the quotation names the model and version.
Equipment condition
New — factory-sealed, supplied through the manufacturer's own channel or a qualified distributor, with full manufacturer warranty.
New surplus — unused factory stock, original packaging where available, sourced from decommissioned projects or distributor inventory. Manufacturer warranty may have lapsed; CRS PLUS warranty applies.
Refurbished / tested — previously deployed equipment, cleaned, firmware-checked and functionally tested against the manufacturer's specification before shipment. CRS PLUS warranty applies.
Condition is confirmed in writing on every quotation before you commit to an order.
Warranty
Warranty terms vary by item, by condition and by the supplier the equipment is sourced from. They are stated in writing on the quotation, per line item, before you commit to an order.
Where equipment is supplied new through the manufacturer's own channel, the manufacturer's warranty applies and is passed to you.
Send us the part numbers you need and we will confirm warranty terms alongside availability, condition, lead time and price.
Refurbished stock — how it is graded and what ships
New and refurbished units are quoted side by side. For refurbished stock, the quotation answers the questions buyers ask first, in the order they ask them.
- Cosmetic grade. Is the housing new?
- Every refurbished unit is graded A, B or C and the grade is written on the quotation. Grade A: housing free of marks visible at arm's length, no discolouration, original labels intact. Grade B: light scuffing or minor marks, no cracks, labels legible. Grade C: visible wear or discolouration, functionally identical to A and B, offered only where the buyer has accepted it. Where an enclosure has been replaced with a new housing the quotation says so; a re-cased unit is never described as new.
- Test coverage. Is it fully working?
- Cabinets and enclosures are inspected and function-tested before dispatch: door seals and gaskets, locks and hinges, the heat exchanger or air conditioner run under power, fans and heaters, the rectifier shelf and monitoring unit powered up, busbars, breakers and surge protection checked, and the housing inspected for corrosion and impact damage. The scope of the test is stated on the quotation.
- What ships with the cabinet. With plinth, keys and internal fittings?
- The quotation lists exactly what ships: base frame or plinth, keys, rack mounting brackets, battery trays or fixing brackets, grounding busbar, cable-entry plates, cabin lighting and door contact, the climate unit, the rectifier frame and monitoring unit where fitted, and whether rectifier modules and batteries are included. Units are crated or palletised for sea or air freight and the packed dimensions and weight are stated for freight quotation.
- Warranty on used stock. What warranty?
- Warranty on refurbished equipment covers functional failure under normal use and is stated per line item on the quotation — the period, what it covers and how a return is handled — before you commit to an order.
- Firmware state. Is the firmware in English, and is it locked?
- The language of the shipped firmware and whether a unit is carrier-branded or carrier-locked is declared per lot. Where English firmware is required it is confirmed on the unit before dispatch, not assumed from the model number. Locked or operator-branded stock is declared as such and never described as open.
- Licence state (OLT chassis and control boards). What about licences on a used OLT?
- Second-hand OLT chassis and control boards are quoted with their licence and software state as received, stated on the quotation. CRS PLUS does not represent used chassis as carrying transferable licences; software licensing remains between the buyer and the manufacturer or integrator, and we recommend confirming the licensing position before relying on a used chassis for a live rollout.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Is a ZXDU68 B301 or ZXDU58 B121 an outdoor cabinet?
No. The B-series are embedded 19-inch power shelves — the B301 is 8U, 482 mm wide, with six rectifier slots — and need an outdoor cabinet or shelter around them. The outdoor cabinets are the W-series and ZXDUPA-WR12 on this page. Check the nameplate letter before agreeing a model.
Which ZTE cabinets are IP55?
IP55 is stated by ZTE for ZXDU58 W121, ZXDUPA-WR12, the BS8900A and BS8900B cabinets and BS8906E. For ZXDU68 W301 and W701 and the ZXDT22 SF01 cabinets ZTE's descriptions do not state a rating and dealer claims of IP55 are not relied on; the rating is confirmed per quotation.
What is included with a cabinet — rectifiers, batteries, climate unit, plinth?
Manufacturer weights are almost always quoted without rectifier modules and batteries, and dealer listings often say only "equipped cabinet". Every quotation from CRS PLUS itemises what ships: the housing, base frame or plinth, climate unit (heat exchanger, air conditioner or ventilation), rectifier frame and the number of modules fitted, monitoring unit, busbars, breakers and surge protection, battery trays and whether batteries are supplied. Ask for the packing list before comparing prices between sources.
Which climate variant suits a hot-climate site?
Heat-exchanger cabinets are sealed and suit most sites; direct-ventilation battery bays carry a lower ingress rating and suit cleaner, cooler locations; air-conditioned variants are specified where ambient temperature or solar load would otherwise shorten battery life. State the site's ambient range and whether the cabinet is in the sun and the quotation will say which variant is proposed and why.
Can I house another vendor's baseband or radios in the cabinet?
Site enclosures with open 19-inch space (Ericsson 6130/6140/6150, Vertiv ECM3, Eltek Type 3/4, Delta OutD, Nokia ACOA/ACOB) accept any 19-inch, −48 V DC equipment; what must be checked is the DC breaker count and rating, cable entry, heat load against the climate unit and the alarm interface. Platform-specific housings (Huawei APM30H/TMC11H, ZTE BS8900 cabinets, Nokia AMOB/AMOD) are built around their own baseband and are quoted with that platform.
How are cabinets shipped and how long does it take?
Cabinets are crated or palletised and normally move by sea because of volume; air freight is quoted where the schedule demands it. Dispatch time and transit time are stated separately on the quotation. Lithium batteries are dangerous goods in transit, so cabinets are usually shipped without batteries unless DG-compliant freight is arranged.
What warranty applies, and what does it cover on used cabinets?
Warranty terms are stated per line item on the quotation, for new and refurbished cabinets alike. On refurbished units the warranty covers functional failure of the climate unit, power frame and monitoring under normal use; the period, exclusions and return procedure are set out in writing before you commit to an order.
Will the footprint fit my existing plinth?
Footprints differ between generations even within one vendor — an RBS 6102 is 1300 × 700 mm and an Enclosure 6150 800 × 700 mm; a Huawei ICC330 is 650 × 650 mm and an ICC710 900 × 950 mm. Send the existing plinth or base-frame dimensions and the anchor pattern with the enquiry and the quotation will confirm fit or propose an adapter frame.
